What's the difference between pure virgin aluminum and recycled aluminum? A set of photos will make it clear.

Class:Tech News

The core differences between primary aluminum and recycled aluminum (also known as secondary aluminum) lie in their raw material sources, production processes, purity, performance, and environmental costs. Primary aluminum is of higher quality and more stable performance, suitable for high-end applications; recycled aluminum is lower in carbon footprint and cheaper, suitable for general consumer applications.

I. Core Definitions and Sources

Primary aluminum is pure aluminum obtained for the first time from bauxite through mining, alumina extraction, and electrolysis. It is a completely new aluminum raw material that has not been recycled.

Recycled aluminum is aluminum or aluminum alloys obtained from waste aluminum products (such as doors and windows, aluminum cans, auto parts, and scraps) through recycling, sorting, remelting, and refining.
